Laughing at our problems and worries once a day is a good exercise. A morose expression or a grave countenance is not good because people who come in contact with such a person get pessimistic vibrations. Laughter infuses spirit and optimism into the atmosphere.
Swami Vivekananda was an advocate of this as Marie Louis Burke recounted in an incident. Once when Swamiji was indulging in a loud laughter someone told him, “You are a monk, a holy man, a man of God. It is unbecoming of you to behave like this. ” Swamiji thundered, ” What! we are the children of God! Should we look sombre and gloomy?”
Swamiji’s words are significant. Let us keep them in mind. To be free from worry and fear, especially the fear of death we should laugh heartily and get as much fun out of life as possible. No tension can survive after a bout of genuine laughter
